The Program
Tumpy Green Pony Club is unusual in the scope and variety of activities on offer.
What is The Pony Club all about?
The Pony Club aims to provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and to install in Members the proper care of animals. It promotes the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self discipline.
Who can join?
Pony Club Membership is open to boys and girls under 21 years of age.
How much experience do I need to have to join?
All levels of experience are catered for, we will divide groups up depending on experience. The Pony Club is about everyone learning to enjoy riding and horsemanship in a safe and supportive way.
What activities will there be?
The will be a full and varied program including the following; rallies, fun days, competitions, awards and badges to complete.
When does it run?
We run sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and during school holiday.
How much does it cost?
There is an annual subscription to join the Pony Club. There will be an additional fee for separate activities.
What about insurance?
As a Pony Club member you will be covered by Third Party Public Liability Insurance.
Planned Activities?
- Mounted Rallies
- Tumpy Green Pony Club League Competitions
- Show Jumping - League competitions at Tumpy Green, we are also planning to send teams to local competitions.
- Dressage - League competitions at Tumpy Green
- Eventing - We a send teams to local competitions.
- Mounted Games - We hold fun competitions at Tumpy Green
- Tetrathlon & Triathlon - We attend local competitions as well as the Pony Club Centre Championships.
- Stable Management - We send teams to local competitions
- National Quiz Competition - This was a new strand in 2015, and our excellent members have qualified for the Nationals following success at the Regional Qualifier.
- We also send teams to the National Pony Club Championships in August - a great excuse for a road trip!
Our Pony Club caters for both those who own their own ponies / horses and those who do not. We encourage all our members to push themselves to achieve their potential in a fun and supportive environment.

All activities must be booked in advance and will require Pony Club membership. Membership available on the day.
