We offer a wide variety of lessons to suit all ages and abilities;

  • Group lessons for all levels
  • Private and semi-private lessons
  • Lead rein lessons for our younger riders
  • Lessons specifically designed to help adults gain confidence when getting into the saddle for the first time, or returning to riding. 
  • Please arrive 15 mins early and report to the office to allow us to book you in

For complete beginners, we do not require assessments. But if you have experience and wish to join a group, we recommend booking an initial private lessons where we can see which lesson will suit you, and discuss the best program to suit your needs and plans for the future.

Private and Semi Private lessons are a great way to get started, or if you wish to develop a certain aspect of your riding. They are often used in tandem with group lessons to give your riding an extra boost.

Our priority is to provide a safe learning environment, where your riding and general horse management skills will develop at a pace that suits you.

For more experienced riders we run a full and varied program of lessons, from dressage, show jumping and x-country schooling sessions and clinics, to musical drill ride lessons!

We offer discounts for block bookings of 5 lessons - to receive this discount, buy tokens on the EC Pro Tumpy Green site and then use the pre-paid tokens to pay for your lessons.

Confidence Building Lessons

Here at Tumpy Green we understand that not everyone is confident either being around horses or riding. We offer a very supportive learning environment, allowing you to set the pace. May be you are thinking of returning to riding after a long break, or you want to build you confidence over jumps. We hold both private and group lessons aimed at building your confidence in tandem with your skills and partnership with your horse. We offer free diploma courses, these are ideal for helping you build your confidence both on and around horses. 

Fully licensed and insured, hat hire available.
